Tour pricing starts for 1 to 4 people.
On this tour you will get a deeper look into Christian Rome, visiting the oldest churches in the city and exploring some of Rome's more unknown aspects.
We will take you to St. John in the Lateran, which not only was Rome's first church but also home to the popes for a thousand years. Here you will see the Sacred Stairway Christ walked upon the day of his death. We'll take you to San Clemente where you will descend through four perfectly preserved layers of Rome's history to visit an ancient Roman coin mint; then over to the home of martyred Saint Prassede, which once served as a shelter to condemned Christians. Today, the church houses Rome's most beautiful Byzantine mosaic.
We will finish upon the Esquilline hill where you will see the first church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Saint Mary Major, one of Rome's four basilicas. We will tell you the stories of martyred saints and brilliant artists, seeking, as always, to bring history to life before your eyes.
